Wall Gun

Rawdons Regiment have a wall gun, which we have named ‘Jericho’. A wall gun is a kind of enlarged matchlock musket which sits on a small carriage and is easy to move around as well as powerful. As the name suggests, it was designed for firing from enclosed spaces, off battlements, walls etc. Today, as well as being a great attraction at living history displays, this very unusual reproduction weapon enables our gun crew to take part in events where using our large cannon Nancy would be impractical or not permitted. Jericho was made for us by historical weapons experts Derbyshire Arms.
